my personal trainer friend had to create exercise plans for new clients this week. because i like to try and keep up, i created a plan for myself. every (sunny) day i will ride from my house up to the peet’s next to the claremont hotel. where i will then reward myself for the twenty minutes of uphill pedaling with coffee and a goodie. my dad would have totally approved. in switzerland, the whole point of going for a hikey-poo is so you can stop in at the pub at the top of the mountain. for coffee. or a snort. or a bratwurst. this is the civilized way of getting fresh air and exercise.
